Dining at Cesky Krumlov CZ

Satlava had excellent medieval atmosphere. It's in a dungeon, with only candles for light, and meat cooked on an open fire. It's meant to be a tourist draw so it looks all traditional, like you're actually dining in the medieval times.
My husband had tried this dark brown, sweetish with liquorice fruit and caramel flavors. On one sip it tastes like different and I just wanted to stick on my apple juice, but on the other hand it is kind of refreshing.
After we finished the chewy soupy cheese soup. We only have to kinds of choice; grilled beef and pork knuckle, we can not make your own orders at this point and everything had been arranged by travel agency in Taiwan. Either way, it was simply the worst beef fillet with vegetables and boiled potatoes with ricotta cheese, mustard and horse radish sauce. The steak was slightly tougher!
I had a pork knuckle was really kind of old meat I ever tasted (barely edible) and very bland. The food itself we could not fault, the presentation, the texture, flavors. I knew it I was in Medieval times. The taste of all of the foods brings you back in times. Being able to sit in a place and eat the type of foods that were eaten hundreds of years ago
What a relief to find Hotel Dvorak after our medieval meal adventure. For the rest of the afternoon before going to the Austria, we decided to just chill in coffee shop. This hotel is conveniently located directly in the heart of Cesky Krumlov, within easy distance of the castle and chateau. The inside and outdoor decors were rich and elegant. Waiter were polite but seemed aloof. the service was slow.
We ordered  coffee, juices for my kids and a slice of cakes. The sacher torte (cake) to be extremely sweet yet just something moist and flavorsome. The coffee was strong but taste so good, despite the vast amount of sugar and milk.
I don't remember the name of this cake, this cake was lighter in sugar than sache torte. It was around something warm, yeasty and buttery, can we say delicious.

Orea Hotel Bohemia Marianske Lazne CZ

Well we left Prague and towards down to Karlovy Vary and Marianske Lazne. After listening to the music fountain we headed down the main road and found Hotel Bohemia. We couldn't get enough  on our  lunch, its lousy! Although we are so hungry and consume so much energy during our sightseeing tour. You couldn't eat that much, what a very poor Chinese cooks.
Old and crystal chandeliers hang elegantly from the high ceiling of the Hotel Bohemia Restaurant. With gleaming tableware and fresh roses spread throughout, the restaurant simply sparkles with natural light. Perfect setting anytime for lunch or dinner and afternoon snack.
Once we were seated, the waiter offer us the menu. Suddenly the meal was brought out immediately.
This is the most depressing of the handful of Czech apple strudel. Once you never had a taste of Austrian apple strudel. The strudel was dry with a little powder sugar on top.
I'm not sure if this is really Bohemian assorted cakes. Although the waiter couldn't really communicate with the tourist like us. The cakes were a little bland and my husband he did not eat that much. To him the cakes were dry but come on, at that point you'd already had a Bohemian taste.
Vanilla ice cream with a hot sauce made from raspberries. I think we had enough ice cream from the very first day in Prague. And for us, it was bland but refreshing in between!
Bohemian peach dumpling, these boiled dough-wrapped whole peaches are absolutely marvelous! It served with a gravy of melted butter and sugar, and cottage cheese. I'm still drooling thinking about it!
A little bohemian cafe latte
Warm cappuccino sprinkle in cinnamon powder. But the milk was not steamed hot enough. Overall, it tasted like an average cup of cappuccino. The waiters have your typical surely Czech attitudes. The price is awesome, plus the portions are ok so you are guaranteed left overs on your table.

Staromacek Restaurace Prague CZ

Given the location of this restaurant, just off Old Town Square, it was a true find. This charming restaurant has an old Moravian  ambience with wait staff dressed in Bohemian folklore type uniforms. Offers traditional Bohemian cuisine and very cheap.
The ambiance inside is the magic little circle table.
The place is very pretty, and the food was pretty good to say such average foods we had on our table. I really had a doubt and arranged by the tour guide about our dinner is pretty awful Bohemian meals.
Bread baskets that we didn't even eat of, because its hard to chew!
Czech chicken noodle soup. It was salty but comforting almost like the knorr chicken noodle soup in Philippines.

Another good introduction from our tour guide in order to try the traditional Czech cuisine. Four of us we had the Bohemian duck includes pickled cabbages or sauerkraut, and dumplings. Well the duck was over cooked, dry and cold and a bit bitter was particularly noteworthy.  Dumplings and sauerkraut with thick gravy and large portions its all delicious.
The fruits and chocolate ice cream with whipped cream as for the desserts. It was the most worse ice cream we had.

Kajetanka Cafe Prague CZ

As a first time visitor to the Czech Republic I feel like I got a very authentic Czech meal  on our last dinner. Cafe Kajetanka is small, cosy coffee shop located near the main entrance to the Prague Castle.
The location of this cafeteria  is excellent as is Prague with a lot of very beautiful view from the 2nd floor over Prague. Offers a right spot while sipping an espresso or cappuccino on the rooftop while sneaking the best angle and picturesque through the lens of your camera at the city below .
The quiet patio has large tables where you can spend meals or afternoon break and plan your visit to the castle next door.
A wooden interior provide for a relaxed ambience.
Viennese coffee with top of whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon powder. The coffee I had was also delicious.
Czech sweet mini cake and pastry also known as babovka or bundt cake.
This one looks quite firm, almost bread-like some of them have a marbled effect.
The Bohemian pork sausages was ok, the meat loaf was garlicky and gamy.
As we walked at the castle hall we found this baked dough are more like small calzone with filling cheese and pepperoni. And it taste unpleasant for us "fortunately." But the coffee at Kajentaka was great!

Velka Klasterni Restaurace Prague CZ

Situated in one of the Old Town in Prague you will find Velka Klasterni Restaurace, the Old Monastery Restaurant at Strahov monastery in Prague Czech Republic Europe. The interior of this restaurant was bright and yet very old original romanesque or gothic cellars or the peasants hall. This restaurant was recommended by our guide as a good restaurant with Czech food for a decent price.
When anyone is deciding on their restaurant dining options…patios play a huge factor. Surrounded with rose flowers on their garden. Offers a nice setting outdoor tables who wants to eat or drinking beer outside on a gorgeous summer evening.
  Flower on the table
My husband and I, we were was drinking Czech beer, because of well recommendation of our tour guide  again! Though drinking beer is not our habit, since we are in Prague we try their homemade beer. It's interesting that in contrast to, say it taste more like San Miguel beer. We just a few sip on it then focusing on our meal for dinner.
The young waiter brought us some tasty, crusty, chewy and salty fresh baked loaves of bread roll.

Czech soups tend be broths and loaded with rough-cut potatoes and vegetables, quite salty but tasty!
Four of us we had a traditional Czech foods, the roast pheasant breast with goose liver, potato dumplings, red cabbage. the red cabbage is taste sweet and sour of apples is quite delicious.
Dumplings stuffed with blueberries, garnished with cottage cheese.

The sweet dumplings for dessert are very good, everything was light and flavorful. I had never tried Czech cuisine before I came to Prague. I have been missing out. The meat dishes are very well prepared and sometimes are swimming in sauces. Their dumplings are great too! I will continued my dining reviews as soon as I  find a time for sometime.
