Green Garden Restaurant

Green garden restaurant with spacious room is an ideal way to relax in the rural environment of the European country style within peaceful, green surroundings you can contemplate the street life going by at the corner of Jinggou Road. A very girly friendly restaurant is place can enjoy an afternoon tea and delicious plate or a gastronomic menu. And most of the customer here are ladies it was a slightly crowd. According to their customers review this restaurant is specializing in exquisite taste. But for us it's just average meal.
We started with their soup a vegetable soup which was basically a minestrone.
The pumpkin soup was just bland and it wasn't as flavorful.
Similar to other Italian restaurant, we were treated to a nice assortment of bread.
Our antipasto has arrived and I try the baked vegetable with cheese. This particular portion was a bit small but a solid dish nonetheless.
The waldorf salad is basically an apple salad, with smoked chicken some fresh vegetable and salad dressing without walnut.
For the main course, so we had a pork knuckle with mustard sauce, one of their best dish in this restaurant. It was served with sauerkraut, the crispy skin crackles as the knife goes through it and the meat was really well flavoured and tender. The portion is good enough to share a absolutely we loved it!
I order the baked bacon and fish with pesto sauce, a combination of white fish wrapped in bacon and asparagus baked-steamed in white wine. At first glance it looks very appealing. I quickly attacked a portion of the fish. I guess the fish it has a strong taste of rice wine instead of white wine. And the pesto sauce it didn't matched with the fish and which turned out to be the worst part of it unfortunately!
The spaghetti with smoked chicken in pumpkin sauce, which features sliced of asparagus, was a good size portion that Claire didn’t come close to finishing.
Risotto rice with salmon in cream sauce. The portion, again, was quite generous as it was pure comfort.
I got a cup of cappuccino was okay and the rest of the drinks was disappointed!
So we ended up to apple millefueille, it was  frozen! We don't feel satisfy and we cannot wait to have a drink and sweets at Starbucks. Overall the service is okay and inexpensive, but food it's wasn't great, the only good thing that was good that day was the pork knuckle. If we will return? maybe yes or not!

La Bretagne

Wuchuan Parkway Taichung is one of the most popular locations for diners, you may find a lots of restaurants some shops stand side by side on this area. After a day trip to ching -shue flower farm and market, we decided to have our dinner at the Pumpkin house but it's full book, and check  the La Bretagne and there is 2 more table available for the whole family. Although were familliar at Wunchuan and we been this place for many times, and so we had our dinner last saturday at La Bretagne.
The decoration inside is very carefully, visitors want to see every corner of clever surprises, although the exact design of the decoration of the French countryside, but have their own independent characteristics of each block, the entire becomes too much store design element.
Furnished the entire layout of the restaurant is like the countryside, although I like simple style of decoration, but the comparison is more warm and comfortable country style garden.
I am amazed that the other bottle compartment design of the second floor, empty bottles can be translucent glass partitions not only the effect of another style of European wine cellar.

The decor here is rustic in traditional European gothic style, colored glass window, wooden tables-chairs, green walls and a green wine bottle wall lamp complement the interior design with a great effect and delightful to the eye.

They even had a piano and allowing you to sit and play a music it doesn't bothered to them not unlike the other restaurants they only used for a decoration.
La Bretagne offers a variety of excellent meals from southern France and other European regions. Our meal that starts at the appetizer a 3 small bites of tapenade.
Before our salads came, the staff will served you this pure orange and tomato juice.
 *Salads*
Tomato basil buffalo mozzarella cheese-served with olive oil, pine nuts and basil vinegar and well beautifully serves on your plate.
Bretagne seafood salad-serve with French garlic mustard dressing and Naples olive oil vinegar dressing.
Provence pine nuts vegetable and fruit salad-served with cherry honey lemon yogurt dressing.
Nicoise tuna potato salad-served with french celery dressing and hazelnut herbal dressing.
*Soup*
Pumpkin cream soup with smoked bacon
Sherry crab mushroom cream chowder soup
French chicken shredded mushroom soup
The soup accompanied with fresh oven baked bread with dipping sauces
The best part is that you get to choose from several toppings and dipping sauces, pure olive oil, red wine vinegar, cappuccino coffee cream and sweet butter.
*Main Course*
Rossini fillet steak with goose liver terrine served with red wine pepper sauce
Florence roasted cherry duck breast fillet served with orange cherry herbal sauce and apple. I think just season with more salt and it was more flavorful.
Versailles mushroom terrine baked chicken served with pine nuts, basil and red wine sauce
Pan-roasted fillet steak served with sea salt and red wine pepper sauce.
*Finale*
Chocolate mousse
Crepe suzette with hazelnut ice cream

A set package deal of set menu just add for NT$100 you can have a cup of soup, salad, bread, drinks, cake or a small scoop of ice cream. London Tea House Taipei 101

We finally selected is the Taipei 101 in London Tea House United Kingdom State tea for our lunch this weekend, yes, we are not going to drink only a tea we had our full set main course. London Tea House is easy to recognize, on the fourth floor of  the central open space, this large open space for people and feeling very comfortable.
Package priced at noon here around NT$ 300 ~ 500, but also not expensive. Noon; not so many people, I think people come here to drink for afternoon tea or drink tea's at anytime. First impressions were good, the decor is impressive and the service was above average.
Following is the package accompanying of set meals is the cream of corn soup, very rich but also very plain. Here you can see quite a European-style dishes, giving the feeling like the exposure to the English court.
To start our meal we had a small amount of salad, likewise is similar with other restaurant
Soup
Followed by bread, roasted and crunchy but soft.
*Main Course*
Spaghetti carbonara
Spaghetti seafood in saffron sauce,,, quite dry!
