Rango Restaurace Plzen CZ

To be honest, we was only trying to find a bite to eat in Pilsen- Plzen. When we heard on our tour guide about the diner in Plzen just in front of our hotel, were going to eat a Czech traditional chicken. Again! we are tired already eating birds meat on this entire trip in Czech Republic. We decided just split off with our guide, and we asked to the counter in the hotel. Which is the best restaurant near by, and she suggest to us the steak house just 5 minutes walking distance from Angelo Hotel. And we headed towards to Pilsen downtown we found Rango just beside the Cathedral.
Most of the Czech restaurants that appear to be on the street level are actually beneath it. This was another cellar like restaurant that seemed very quaint and been here since medieval times. This is a good restaurant with warm atmosphere, you don't think Italian in the Czech Republic, but this will make you change your appetite after eating Czech traditional foods.
Our meal that starts on soup, we ordered 2 kinds of soup, the tomato soup and vegetable soup. The tomato soup with grated parmesan cheese and a dash of fresh parsley which taste little salty and sourish but definitely knock out your appetite.
Vegetable soup was also a good soup. Simple broth with  of chopped vegetables, crouton and a dash of parsley.
Tomato mozzarella cheese with basil, and to the even more initiated as the tricolor. Red, white and green are the exact colors of the Italian flag, is one of the simplest and most delicious salads. Italian Caprese salad, for all its simplicity, is absolutely delicious and endlessly satisfying. And one of my daughter favorite salad.
Prosciutto ham with cantaloupe, hefty slices of sweet ripe melon with fluffy thinly sliced prosciutto. These salty and sweet, super-thin cuts were delicious!
And for the entrees; Charles had a beef fillet steak which his all time favorite meat. It served simple but this will change your mind after a long period eating Czech traditional birds meat.
I got a veal chops in mushrooms and red wine sauce, was tender and extremely juicy along with sauce.
Margherita pizza, the sauce was very different  almost a smokey flavor to it. There was a slight sprinkling of salt on the cheese, but that only heightened its actual flavor which I can only describe but something special.
Gnocchi with tomato was tender with cheese and chewy!
Risotto creamy mushroom, slightly salty cheese which I can describe as deeply milky.
The desserts were good! The classic tiramisu is a balance of flavors of a sweet zabaglione, strong coffee, marsala wine, creamy mascarpone cheese and the dusting of unsweetened cocoa  powder and chocolate sauce. The taste of espresso was very bold, the ratio of the cream to cake was just right.
A short while later! A creme brulee flambe bebee turned up at our table as you can see in the photo above which was nice. It was well soaked in rum!
When my Greek baklava arrived. A sliced of baklava was centered on a plate and then drizzled with two buttery sugar sauce with a kind of nuts that I could not identify. While the baklava was okay and its too sweet for me, it wasn’t great but acceptable.

The service was okay with better attitudes than other place. The foods it wasn't the best Italian meal we had but better than Czech roasted flying birds lol. We thoroughly enjoyed this treat! I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody coming to Plzen and tired of Czech food. And get rid with your tour guide with none good taste of food.

Orea Hotel Bohemia Marianske Lazne CZ

Well we left Prague and towards down to Karlovy Vary and Marianske Lazne. After listening to the music fountain we headed down the main road and found Hotel Bohemia. We couldn't get enough  on our  lunch, its lousy! Although we are so hungry and consume so much energy during our sightseeing tour. You couldn't eat that much, what a very poor Chinese cooks.
Old and crystal chandeliers hang elegantly from the high ceiling of the Hotel Bohemia Restaurant. With gleaming tableware and fresh roses spread throughout, the restaurant simply sparkles with natural light. Perfect setting anytime for lunch or dinner and afternoon snack.
Once we were seated, the waiter offer us the menu. Suddenly the meal was brought out immediately.
This is the most depressing of the handful of Czech apple strudel. Once you never had a taste of Austrian apple strudel. The strudel was dry with a little powder sugar on top.
I'm not sure if this is really Bohemian assorted cakes. Although the waiter couldn't really communicate with the tourist like us. The cakes were a little bland and my husband he did not eat that much. To him the cakes were dry but come on, at that point you'd already had a Bohemian taste.
Vanilla ice cream with a hot sauce made from raspberries. I think we had enough ice cream from the very first day in Prague. And for us, it was bland but refreshing in between!
Bohemian peach dumpling, these boiled dough-wrapped whole peaches are absolutely marvelous! It served with a gravy of melted butter and sugar, and cottage cheese. I'm still drooling thinking about it!
A little bohemian cafe latte
Warm cappuccino sprinkle in cinnamon powder. But the milk was not steamed hot enough. Overall, it tasted like an average cup of cappuccino. The waiters have your typical surely Czech attitudes. The price is awesome, plus the portions are ok so you are guaranteed left overs on your table.

El Toro Negro Prague CZ

El Toro Negro at Grand Hotel Praha this place is just under the astronomical clock on the old town. They offer both inside and outside seating tables. There was a black European staff and we asked about the menu that we can have for afternoon tea. He said if we will come inside, he will show to us the price of the menus. My husband reply to this black European waiter we don't need to check the prices. Just give us a nice outdoor table with none smoking area :P.
We sat outside and had our afternoon break. Though El Toro Negro they are specialized in Spanish cuisine, but we are here for afternoon snack. We ordered a super sweet delicacies here and we had a crepes and ice cream  it was a nice place to relax your feet. As we had to resume our walking tour soon so we asked the waiter for the bill.  I can feel the waiter  was expecting for the tips, we leave the place and a tip on the table.

I order this crepes with mixed berries in caramel milk sauce. Beautiful presentation and gorgeous crepes, they were done to perfection! Especially love any kind of berries, the sauces were great!
Strawberry and blueberry ice cream with forest fruits, decorated with whipped cream. It was so indulgent, with the cold creaminess melting into the fruits sauce.
Chocolate vanilla and nut ice cream topped with eggnog, decorated with whipped cream and hazelnuts. If you like eggnog and nutty crunchy added on your ice cream, you’ll fall in love with this one.
Creamy strawberry ice cream with strawberry fruit salad, topped with whipped cream, it’s simply bliss!
We also ordered hot coffee to be mixed with cold!  and I had the Viennese coffee is known for being very rich, mixed with cream!
Delicious warm cappuccino!
We also order a scoops of blueberry and mixed berries "gelato" it taste heavenly sweet as long as it still exists, and I will not feel guilty one bit about the calories.
As we managed to walk all the way to the market. It caught my eyes this wide variety of colours and shapes of this very fresh mixed berries. Then we realized we have to indulge ouserlves since its rarely to find a packed of mixed berries like this. I adore and loved this kind of fruits but anything made with them is nearly impossible to find in Taiwan sometime. They are so fresh and juicy,,,yum!

This ups our ratio of sweet goodness to filler and makes it a much better experience than our previous days in Prague. You know what! I thought in Czech the desserts were the best compared to main courses. So that's it for today, I have to ended up! I'm watching soccer football as I used through in the hotel before bed time. I just wished Spain will win this time.
