Re-visited Amigo Latin Foods & Coffee

Are you looking for Latino cuisine that doesn't require a trip to South American? Look no further, Amigo Latin Foods and Coffee brings the hospitality and specialty cuisine of Latin American to the heart of Sam Min Road Hsinchu. Amigo offers diners and lunch warm hospitality and mouth watering latino cuisine that will not easily be forgotten. That's why we return as soon we find a time and finally had try their empanada, that I'd never had for almost more than 10 years. Since the last time I was in San Fernando Pampaguenio. The menu features a culinary tradition that has made Latino our favorite culinary destination in Hsinchu.
If you want a little bit privacy you can reserved the tables in another room-exclusively and so it's a little bit peaceful.
The restaurant's decor is colorful but not overdone with a visually pleasing balance of light yellow against vibrant color. A collection of Chilean handicrafts painting hanging from the wall. They design so many focal points your eyes are drawn to each and every one.  By the way those painting and handicrafts are for sale.
As soon as you walk through the front door just off the street a convenient parking is readily available in the parking lot.
Chorrian-Potato fries with sausages and spicy tomato salsa was captivating! Also did some magic to our taste buds along the lines of. The lightly crispy fries with moist were great. They picked up flavorful sausages and the essence of spicy sauce from the thinly sliced of onion garnish was perfect. I recommend to try this tapas this is addicted.
Spicy calamari, this calamari are sauteed with garlic, tomatoes, onion and capers. Which remind me the taste of Filipino adobo calamares "adobong pusit" and I enjoy it a lot, yum!
The small bowls of soup arrived as the soup of the day is the pumpkin soup it was rich and creamy.
The reason why I can't get enough on my first visit here because of this empanadas. The Chilean beef empanada  served with salsa sauce are delicious was suitably impressed! However they wrapped in a very thin pillow pastry. It should made of a slightly chewy bread like dough. The filling is most often beef but can also include chicken.
Brazilian pork skewers, the smell fantastic and flavor was great and the quality of the meat was in perfection.
Roasted chicken in Latin spice, it was outrageously good and is the  best roast chicken we ever had in the restaurants. Very tasty, juicy inside-out with crisp skin and rich-flavored. OMG it turned out pretty well! I strongly recommend to try their half roasted chicken.
Sauteed salamon topped with a creamy butter sauce and served with mashed potato and vegetables also nicely done and its truly melt in your mouth.
And had a cup of Latin coffee they serve strong on my opinion, but which was okay. The food was wonderful! We were very surprised to find everything very tasty. Staff and the owner are very friendly and worth the visit. And credit card here are not accepted.

Chun Shui Tang Cultural Tea House

The Chun Shui Tang Cultural Tea House Hsinchu branch brings an contemporary Chinese tradition. The tearoom offers different types of loose tea leaves, including green, oolong tea, different types of bubble teas and other types of cold drinks. There's a light menu available featuring noodles and rice dishes, steamed cake and snacks.
Looking around, I noticed the Buddha painted in black, brown, yellow-gold colours underneath with Chinese cabinet and a touched of display of their tea dried products.
A view up the centre of the main staircase.
Steamed brown sugar cake, it tastes a lot nicer because of the aroma of the brown sugar. The texture is somewhat like firm the refinement of rice it turned out good.
Red bean with mochi cake or baked bao and similar with moon cake are made of pastry dough to that sweet filling. The mochi mixture and the red bean paste is much thicker. It is really good too!
Deep fried cuttle balls serve with satay sauce, this will be a surprise treat of appetizer or snack.
The good thing I like in Chun Shui Tang is the tea beverage especially their hot pearl milk tea. It was the perfect drinking temperature, with hints of topiaca pearls (there are actually soft!) Very enjoyable.
Healthy cereal milk tea or hot milk tea with cereal, a mild-tasting milk topped with a mound that looks like dust but tastes somewhat of ground rice or oats. If you like to eat cereal you might like this drink.
Chocolate and black tea latte, it's just iced black tea with some cocoa. Thou it was pretty good for being a bit sweet.
Matcha milk tea with honey red bean and cookies. A thick flourish of sweet red bean paste and generously with amount of green tea cookies. The bottom is dark green and pleasingly balanced of matcha green tea, this drink could almost qualify as a meal and it makes my daughter smile. Ok! some foods it wasn't great the tea it was wonderful it's a place that we would like to visit again and again for drinking tea since they starts at Windance and moved to Chupei City Hsinchu. Definitely worth a visit, great chill ambiance.

Irodori Sushi

Irodori Sushi is located on the 13th  floor of Sogo Hsinchu. Japanese food is one of the food that we liked due to the way the Japanese took pride in preparing their food by placing much emphasize on the color and the taste. The deco of the restaurant is simple, would classified as casual to see a sushi bar in a classic Japanese restaurant. They also offer ala carte menu and a whole bunch of set menu for value meal include miso soup, steamed egg, salad, and cold tofu just add NT$90 for desserts.
Deep fried soft crab sushi, a  rice roll with deep fried soft shell crab and roe salmon in it. It was freshly made so it was nice and pretty good too with a dash of wasabi and mayonnaise sauce.
We ordered the set menu, It came with the standard trimmings - miso soup, the tofu thing and salads.
Grilled salted mackerel, I'm very disappointed on my order, we been to many places and had a grilled fish like this, but this one it was tangy and stench somehow is not acceptable. I didn't eat anyway and stick with the sushi roll.
Assorted sashimi on vinegar rice. As it seemed my daughter she enjoy this dish so much, and the only person who can eat sashimi.
Grilled beef and mushroom on rice with Japanese soy sauce it was pretty good too!
Deep fried pork chop
Chawanmushi a Japanese steamed egg custard
Cold tofu a perfect healthy summer snack or appetizer.
Taro with brown sugar & mucha ice cream.
Baked mochi with red bean and purple rice, delicious just like everything as a dessert.  I’d say Irodori Sushi is worth a visit, if you are hungry.
