Lucky Six Salzburg Austria

We were ready for a break from the meat, pickled cabbage, dumpling and stumbled upon this Chinese restaurant. Well, I had never written a review of any Chinese Restaurant we dine in Czech, because we were here about 2 years ago and the food are really appreciated. This place is family owned and run by Taiwanese who lives in Salzburg for 26 years and they serve Taiwanese cuisine. The decoration is typical for Chinese restaurants, with tables and chairs made of solid wood. The slopes of the ceiling was painted in gold. I think it's quite cool. The owner are so overwhelmed and friendly to us, especially if you are from Taiwan. It seems we continue to see the same smiling faces and keep talking in Taiwanese dialect when they brought the food on our table, which makes you feel right at home.
Stewed Hakka Taiwanese pork belly, the gravy is great it is simply delicious especially with steamed rice.
Hakka Taiwanese stir fry tofu, ok a many of you may have this dish! The tofu is unlike anything I've tasted before, and has the texture of Chinese vegan wheat gluten, but even smoother. My reaction to this dish was one of surprise. The sauce seemed to be a type of yellow bean sauce. There were also some mushrooms, carrots, green onions and lots of garlic in there as well. I did find that it was a bit salty but very delicious indeed.
Stir fried prawn with green vegetable, this dish was so good!
Hakka Taiwanese style stir fried broccoli, maybe we had too much meat during our tour in Czech. So we find the stir-fry broccoli really appetizing and slightly tossed with garlic it was crunchy and delicious.
Hakka Taiwanese style stewed Chinese cabbage, at first glance, the stewed Chinese cabbage with dried squid and mushroom looked rather dull. The cabbage was cooked till tender, while the generous addition of other ingredients made the cabbage very flavorful.
The herbal chicken soup, didn't look appetizing but the soup was delicious. The food was perfectly justified by the high quality and taste of Taiwanese cooking style. Definitely  try this place if you're looking for good Taiwan food in Salzburg.

Dining at Cesky Krumlov CZ

Satlava had excellent medieval atmosphere. It's in a dungeon, with only candles for light, and meat cooked on an open fire. It's meant to be a tourist draw so it looks all traditional, like you're actually dining in the medieval times.
My husband had tried this dark brown, sweetish with liquorice fruit and caramel flavors. On one sip it tastes like different and I just wanted to stick on my apple juice, but on the other hand it is kind of refreshing.
After we finished the chewy soupy cheese soup. We only have to kinds of choice; grilled beef and pork knuckle, we can not make your own orders at this point and everything had been arranged by travel agency in Taiwan. Either way, it was simply the worst beef fillet with vegetables and boiled potatoes with ricotta cheese, mustard and horse radish sauce. The steak was slightly tougher!
I had a pork knuckle was really kind of old meat I ever tasted (barely edible) and very bland. The food itself we could not fault, the presentation, the texture, flavors. I knew it I was in Medieval times. The taste of all of the foods brings you back in times. Being able to sit in a place and eat the type of foods that were eaten hundreds of years ago
What a relief to find Hotel Dvorak after our medieval meal adventure. For the rest of the afternoon before going to the Austria, we decided to just chill in coffee shop. This hotel is conveniently located directly in the heart of Cesky Krumlov, within easy distance of the castle and chateau. The inside and outdoor decors were rich and elegant. Waiter were polite but seemed aloof. the service was slow.
We ordered  coffee, juices for my kids and a slice of cakes. The sacher torte (cake) to be extremely sweet yet just something moist and flavorsome. The coffee was strong but taste so good, despite the vast amount of sugar and milk.
I don't remember the name of this cake, this cake was lighter in sugar than sache torte. It was around something warm, yeasty and buttery, can we say delicious.

Rango Restaurace Plzen CZ

To be honest, we was only trying to find a bite to eat in Pilsen- Plzen. When we heard on our tour guide about the diner in Plzen just in front of our hotel, were going to eat a Czech traditional chicken. Again! we are tired already eating birds meat on this entire trip in Czech Republic. We decided just split off with our guide, and we asked to the counter in the hotel. Which is the best restaurant near by, and she suggest to us the steak house just 5 minutes walking distance from Angelo Hotel. And we headed towards to Pilsen downtown we found Rango just beside the Cathedral.
Most of the Czech restaurants that appear to be on the street level are actually beneath it. This was another cellar like restaurant that seemed very quaint and been here since medieval times. This is a good restaurant with warm atmosphere, you don't think Italian in the Czech Republic, but this will make you change your appetite after eating Czech traditional foods.
Our meal that starts on soup, we ordered 2 kinds of soup, the tomato soup and vegetable soup. The tomato soup with grated parmesan cheese and a dash of fresh parsley which taste little salty and sourish but definitely knock out your appetite.
Vegetable soup was also a good soup. Simple broth with  of chopped vegetables, crouton and a dash of parsley.
Tomato mozzarella cheese with basil, and to the even more initiated as the tricolor. Red, white and green are the exact colors of the Italian flag, is one of the simplest and most delicious salads. Italian Caprese salad, for all its simplicity, is absolutely delicious and endlessly satisfying. And one of my daughter favorite salad.
Prosciutto ham with cantaloupe, hefty slices of sweet ripe melon with fluffy thinly sliced prosciutto. These salty and sweet, super-thin cuts were delicious!
And for the entrees; Charles had a beef fillet steak which his all time favorite meat. It served simple but this will change your mind after a long period eating Czech traditional birds meat.
I got a veal chops in mushrooms and red wine sauce, was tender and extremely juicy along with sauce.
Margherita pizza, the sauce was very different  almost a smokey flavor to it. There was a slight sprinkling of salt on the cheese, but that only heightened its actual flavor which I can only describe but something special.
Gnocchi with tomato was tender with cheese and chewy!
Risotto creamy mushroom, slightly salty cheese which I can describe as deeply milky.
The desserts were good! The classic tiramisu is a balance of flavors of a sweet zabaglione, strong coffee, marsala wine, creamy mascarpone cheese and the dusting of unsweetened cocoa  powder and chocolate sauce. The taste of espresso was very bold, the ratio of the cream to cake was just right.
A short while later! A creme brulee flambe bebee turned up at our table as you can see in the photo above which was nice. It was well soaked in rum!
When my Greek baklava arrived. A sliced of baklava was centered on a plate and then drizzled with two buttery sugar sauce with a kind of nuts that I could not identify. While the baklava was okay and its too sweet for me, it wasn’t great but acceptable.

The service was okay with better attitudes than other place. The foods it wasn't the best Italian meal we had but better than Czech roasted flying birds lol. We thoroughly enjoyed this treat! I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody coming to Plzen and tired of Czech food. And get rid with your tour guide with none good taste of food.
