Gordon Biersch

Since it started the winter school vacation, kids were off school this 10:00 a.m, then I pick them up from school. I'm driving around my little car with my kids from Hsinchu to Taipei its accidently had a lunch at GB. Gordon Biersch's name is derived from beer brewing industry Dan Gordon and Dean Biersch restaurants are the names of the two founders that GB has been brewing beer and popular. GB in the United States to present the original flavor, features, restaurant. American-style atmosphere and a large quantity of American-style dishes before the food or for people to share.
I've never been here before, mostly in T.G.I Friday's and its my first time and I've never really had a problem.  I don't tend to set my expectations too high specially for American restaurants like this. We ordered the lunch special include drinks, soup with bread or desserts, We didn't expect that  our 3 main meals is quite too big for 3 of us, we cannot finish them all and food won on our table. The servers have been really polite and prompt, specially our server Pete she was extremely helpful, spokes english well better than mine. If we cannot understand  to each other we both prefer in mandarin. But she was really great and very friendly and she deserves more than the full 5 stars employee and staff of the year!
To start our meal, we had a beef  and potato creamy soup
Compliment of soft baguette with butter
For appetizer we had a fried squid with two kinds of red sauce made of fresh tomatoes, a partial of white mild mustard sauce.
The three drinks musketeers
"Southwest chicken salad" Fried chicken tenders topped with cheddar and jack pepper cheeses, topped  with tortilla strips over fresh greens tossed in barbecue ranch dressing.
"Teriyaki flat iron steak" with a rich teriyaki sauce, served with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables.
"Chicago burgers" 10 oz  of ground beef with tomato sauce, mustard diced onions,  pickle relish and garlic fries, thick so fresh and juicy!
And everything it was ended on the cheese cake! The dessert of the moment.
I'd only recommend going here if you're meeting up with some friends or with your whole family thou a bit pricey. Fit for beer drinkers, the food's were ok, but you are never allowed to forget that you're in a brew bar version of TGI Friday's.
